Abstract
Basting looks into the stories that emerged in storytelling workshops at the Schulman and Schachne Institute for Nursing and Rehabilitation, where TimeSlips storytelling method is put to test whether it could really improve communication in two groups of their residents including those with AIDS-related dementia and those with Alzheimer s-related dementia. Furthermore, she reveals several important aspects of how the stories are shaped and how the four recreation therapists she interviewed experienced them.
